Plantar Fasciitis Treatment
Plantar fasciitis can be treated in multiple ways. For proper at-home treatment options, please consdier the following:
- Stretching exercises for plantar fasciitis
- Applying ice to your heel pain
- Resting and applying compression to your foot
- Wearing proper supportive shoes (indoors and outdoors!)
- Limiting exercises until your heel pain resolves
- Taking over-the-counter medication when appropriate
- Proper over-the-counter inserts (do not spend more than $60!)
When Shoud I See a Foot Doctor About My Plantar Fasciitis?
If you are still experiencing plantar fascia pain or you are unsure as to whether your pain is actually plantar fasciitis, please schedule an appointment with our wonderful Podiatrists (foot doctors). What Are Other Treatment Options For Plantar Fasciitis?
- Steroid injections
- ESWT (extracorporeal shockwave therapy)
- Physical therapy and dry needling
- CAM boot and/or night splint
- Surgical intervention (we perform many heel surgeries, including minimally invasive heel surgery!)
- Custom orthtoics that might be covered by insurance or go towards your deductible (real custom orthotics take at least 2 weeks to make!)
